Day
01: BERAU, BIDUK-BIDUK (D)
Upon
arrival at Berau airport, meeting service and transfer by car
for about six (6) hours to the Bajau Tribe
village Biduk-Biduk, dinner at local restaurant, overnight at local
house, evening free at own leisure.
Day
02: BIDUK-BIDUK, MIRROR LAKE (BLD)
Simple
Breakfast, visit the sea and beach of the Bajau
fishermen's, you will enjoy the blue lagoon sea view under the
palm trees at the white beach, afterwards short trek from the
beach to the river that will connect us with a canoe to the
Mirror lake. Labuahan Cermin as the lake is called by locals is the
only fresh and salt water-lake in the world, and natural
wonder of coral reefs, fresh and salt water fish
species. The brightness of the water is a mirror which you can enjoy
while breathing the fresh air of the mangrove forest surrounding
us. Possibility to swim or snorkel the lake, Lunch
provided enroute, afternoon we return to Bajau tribal village Biduk
Biduk, for dinner and overnight
Day
03: MANGELIAT LIMESTONE FOREST (BLD)
Breakfast,
by trekking and canoe passing the mangrove forest, in
to the limestone forests of Mangeliat Limstone jungle, you can
enjoy the standing lime stone rocks scattering the sky in
the emerald jungle, lunch en route, dinner and overnight at
prepaired jungle camp
Day 04: JUNGLE TREK (BLD)
Breakfast at camp, a Jungle trek
to the unique collorful limestone caves and flora and
fauna of Borneo, when lucky, mammals as monkeys,
lizards, clouded leopards, deers, orchids, pitcher plants, several
species of birds can be spot, Lunch en route, afternoon we return to
Biduk Biduk village for dinner and overnight at local
house.
Day 05: BIDUK-BIDUK, DERAWAN (BLD)
In the morning by car from Biduk biduk
to Berau harbor to board boat and cross the sea
in to Derawan archipelago. Check in at Lodge, when time
allows, in afternoon possibility for snorkeling or Derawan village
sightseeing. Dinner at Local Restaurant.
Day
06: SANGALAKI & KAKABAN ISLAND (BLD)
Early in
the morning by boat to Sangalaki Island which is the
Capital of The Borneo Mantas Ray, many kinds of exotic fish
could be seen in this area like the Mantas, Napoleons, purple sea
horses, tunitates, dwarf scorpion fishes, and not to forget the beauty
of the Coral Sea Garden which is still in tact. Visit the Turtle bay
Sangalaki, continue to Kakaban Island with it's mangrove
fringed lake inside, the lake is about 17 meters deep of
brackish water with a green algae bottom, diverse fish species can be
explored in the lake as four types of jellyfish, snakes,
orange purple and yellow clams on the branches, surround
the island are a few scuba dive points, as
the barracuda Point has sharks, leopards fish, tunas, snappers and
offcourse large schools of barracudas, the Blue Cave point is
a cave of about 120 meters long with at the end a Blue sea light, and
is only for the experienced divers. From the Dive points the Gorganian
Forest view is amazing, late afternoon return to Derawan for dinner and
overnight at lodge.
Day 07:
DERAWAN ISLAND (BLD)
Breakfast at Lodge, possibility for snorkeling,
meet the green turtles, visit the village with traditional Bajau tribe
fishermen 's or relax at the beach. Lunch at local restaurant, dinner
and overnight at Derawan Lodge.
Day 08:
DERAWAN ISLAND, BERAU (B)
Breakfast
at Lodge, free at own leisure, till transfer by boat to Berau harbor,
and transfer to Berau airport for your flight to your next destinatioLunch
bos provided, late afternoon return to Derawan, for overnight at Lodge.
