Day 01: BANJARMASIN ARRIVAL, PANDAK DAUN, LOKSADO
(LD)
Arrival at Banjarmasin
airport, short meeting service, transfer by
car/minibus to Pandak Daun as a stilt build village at swamp
forest, for sightseeing the unique activity of the buffaloes
farmers, as these water buffaloes swim in the swamp forest, in the late
afternoon we can enjoy the romantic sunset outlook over the
swamp water-land, before we continue to Loksado for overnight at lodge.
Day
02: LOKSADO, MERATUS
MOUNTAINS
RAINFOREST TREKKING (BLD)
Breakfast,
before we start our hike over the forest trails of the Meratus
Mountain, during the jungle trek we visit Dayak
villages, the trek trails lead us to primary and secondary rainforest,
over hills and passing waterfalls, we will cross hanging and suspended
bamboo bridges between the farmlands, over the rivers and cascades, to
meet the local Dayak tribe in their longhouses. In the afternoon, we
will continue our trek to return to Loksado lodge over a different
trail of rain forest. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and
overnight at Loksado lodge.
Day 03: LOKSADO, BAMBOO RAFTING, BANJARMASIN (BLD)
Early Monring we have
our breakfast at the Lodge, where a new adventure awaits, we will
cruise downstream the Amadit River by a handmade Bamboo raft, crossing
the beautiful landscape of tropical rain forest along the river bank to
end up at Muara Hariang, where the car will wait us for the drive to
Banjarmasin, Lunch en route, Dinner at Local Restaurant, Overnight at
Hotel Banjarmasin.
Day 04: FLOATING MARKET,
PALANGKARAYA, Mt.
TANGKILING, RUNGAN SARI (BLD)
Early in the morning,
we will visit the floating market of Banjarmasin
as being part of Kalimantan
’s river-life, here we can explore the unique culture of
Banjarese who trade commodities as fruit, and vegetables from boat to
boat. Afterwards we return to the hotel, check-out of the Hotel, and
continue our journey overland by car/minibus to Palangka Raya, on the
way you see village life with rice plantations, and swamp forest.
Upon arrival at Palangkaraya, we check
in at Rungan Sari Lodge. Lunch on the way at local restaurant, In the
afternoon, we bring a visit to the Mount Tangkiling, which give us a
nice view of Kalimantan ‘s emerald jungle landscape from the
top. We continue to visit the orangutan Rehabilitation center Nyaru
Menteng arboretum for information of the rehabilitation process of
these wildlife creatures, which can only be found at Sumatra and Borneo
Island, We close our day visits with a romantic sunset which we can
view the best from the Tahai lake. Dinner at Local Restaurant.
Day 05: KAJA ISLAND, PALANGKARAYA AIRPORT (B)
After breakfast in the
morning, we will proceed to the harbor of Rungan River for s cruise by
canoe upstream Rungan River to Kaja Island ( Pulau Kaja ), Kaja Island
is covered with lowland forest, with lots of wildlife and birds, where
we can spot the orangutans from the river side, Afterwards we return to
Sari Lodge, free at leisure, till departure
time to Palangkaraya airport to catch your flight to your next
destination.
