Day 01:
BALIKPAPAN, SAMARINDA, MAHAKAM (LD)
Arrival at Balikpapan airport, meeting service, by
car transfer to Samarinda, Loa Janan harbor, boarding
the houseboat which will cruise upstream for an
exciting adventure on the Mahakam river. Meals provided and
overnight on houseboat.
Day 02:
MUARA MUNTAI, MANCONG, TANJUNG ISUY (BLD)
Breakfast on board, harboring Muara Muntai Kutai Village, for a short
sight seeing at this Wooden village, proceed by motor-canoe
crossing the magic Jempang Lake by to Mancong Dayak village,
on the way you could see the low land Rain forest and wildlife
at Ohong creek like proboscis monkey’s and lots
of bird species. Arrival at Mancong, we will be welcomed with
a traditional ceremony by the Dayaq Benuaq tribe, in front of one of
the Oldest Dayak Longhouse of East Kalimantan, afternoonwe
continue to Tanjung Isuy village for sightseeing of the
Longhouse and traditional way of the Dayak tribe, before
we continue to Jantur Banjarese village at the mounth of the
Jempang lake, Jantur is a collor full village of the migrated south
Kalimantan Banjarese who trading the fish to the cities, by canoe to
Rasi fresh water dolphin information center at Pela village, when lucky
we can see the irrawady fresh water dolphins here before we
board the houseboat donwstream to Tenggarong. Dinner and
overnight at houseboat.
Day
03: TENGGARONG, KUTAI PARK (BLD)
Arrive at Tenggarong, visiting the former palace of Sultan Kutai
Kertanegara. Where you will see the Sultan's impressive collection of
heirlooms, ceramics, Dayak's art and culture items. transfer
of about five hours to Sangatta River, by canoe cruise the small river
into the jungle of Kutai, overnight at Jungle Lodge, possibility for
night trek, simple dinner at Park lodge.
Day
04: KUTAI NATIONAL PARK, MANGROVE, SAMARINDA (BLD)
Breakfast,
trek the forest of Kutai National Park Reserve, to spot wild orangutan
in their natural habitat. During your hike in the jungle you will enjoy
the rare flora and fauna of Borneo, inlcuding many wildlife species and
birds, afternoon cruise the mangrove forest of Kutai park with
possibilities to spot crocodiles, and proboscis monkeys, afterwards by
car transfer to Samarinda check in at Hotel, Lunch at Jungle
Lodge, dinner en route.
Day
05: SAMARINDA, BALIKPAPAN (B)
After Breakfast, free
at leisure till transfer time to Balikpapan airport for your flight to
your next destinantion.
