Day 01:
BALIKPAPAN, SANGATTA, KUTAI PARK (LD)
Upon arrival at Balikpapan airport, meeting service and direct
transfer to Sangatta, on tye way you will pass villages and
the emerald hills Kalimantan, with grasslands, and forest
view. Meals en route, by canoe sailing the river in to Kutai Park, to
the Jungle Lodge, for overnight, possibility for night trek
Day 02: KUTAI NATIONAL
PARK (BLD)
Wake up early morning, for breakfast
and your first jungle trek day, exploring the low-land rain forest
eco-system, with it's mammals as orangutan, proboscis monkeys, macaque
monkeys, leaf monkeys, and many birds species, Lunch at base camp
preserved. Night Trek, to enjoy the forest sounds. Dinner and overnight
at Jungle Lodge.
Day
03: KUTAI PARK, SAMARINDA (BLD)
Breakfast at Jungle Lodge Kutai Park, by canoe transfer to harbor for
drive to Samarinda airport, flight to Berau, direct transfer to harbor,
for speedboat journey to Derawan Island. Lunch en route, upon
arrival at Derawan, check in at Beach Lodge, for dinner and
overnight, free at own leisure.
Day
04: DERAWAN ISLAND, SANGALAKI ISLAND, KAKABAN ISLAND (BLD)
Early
in the morning by fishermen's boat sail the sea to Sangalaki
Island also know of it's Mantas, beside
the many kinds of exotic fish as Napoleons, purple
sea horses, tunitates, dwarf scorpion fishes, and not to forget the
Coral Sea Garden which is still in tact. Visit the Turtle bay
Sangalaki,
continue to Kakaban Island with it's mangrove fringed lake
inside,
the lake is about 17 meters deep of brackish water with a
green algae bottom, diverse fish species can be explored in the lake
as four types of jellyfish, snakes, orange purple and yellow
clams on the branches, surround the island are a
few scuba dive points, as the barracuda Point has
sharks, leopards fish, tunas, snappers and offcourse large schools of
barracudas, the Blue Cave point is a cave of about 120 meters
long with at the end a Blue sea light, and is only for the experienced
divers. From the Dive points the Gorganian Forest view is amazing, late
afternoon return to Derawan for dinner and overnight at lodge.
Day
05: DERAWAN ISLAND (BLD)
Breakfast
at Lodge, possibility for snorkeling, meet the green turtles, visit the
village with traditional Bajau tribe fishermen 's or relax at the
beach. Lunch at local restaurant, dinner and overnight at Derawan Lodge.
Day
06: DERAWAN ISLAND, BERAU (B)
Breakfast
at Lodge, free at own leisure, till transfer by boat to Berau harbor,
and transfer to Berau airport for your flight to your next destination.
