Day 01: BANJARMASIN ARRIVAL, PANDAK DAUN, LOKSADO (-LD)
Upon arrival at Banjarmasin airport, meeting service, by car/minibus transfer to Pandak Daun stilt build swamp village where we can observe the unique activity of the buffaloes farmers, during late afternoon when the water buffaloes swim return to the stall. We can enjoy the romantic sunset outlook over the swamp water-land, before we continue to Loksado for overnight at lodge.
Day 02: LOKSADO, MERATUS MOUNTAINS RAINFOREST TREKKING (BLD)
Breakfast, before we proceed to the foot of the Meratus Mountain from where we start our jungle trek to Dayak villages, the trek lead us to primary and secondary rainforest, over hills and passing waterfalls, we will cross hanging and suspended bamboo bridges between the farmlands, over the rivers and cascades, to meet the local Dayak tribe in their longhouses. In the afternoon, we will continue our trek to return to Loksado lodge over a different trail of rain forest. Lunch will be served en route, dinner and overnight at Loksado lodge.
Day 03: LOKSADO, BAMBOO RAFTING, BANJARMASIN (BLD)
Early Morning we have our breakfast at the Lodge, where a new adventure awaits, we will cruise downstream the Amandit River by a handmade Bamboo raft, crossing the beautiful landscape of tropical rain forest along the river bank to end up at Muara Hariang, where the car will wait us for the drive to Banjarmasin, Lunch en route, Dinner at Local Restaurant, Overnight at Hotel Banjarmasin.
Day 04: FLOATING MARKET, CANAL, PALANGKARAYA (BLD)
Early in the morning, we will visit the floating market of Banjarmasin as being part of Kalimantan ’s river-life, here we can explore the unique culture of Banjarese who trade commodities as fruit, and vegetables from boat to boat. Afterwards we return to the hotel, for breakfast and cross by boat through the canals of Banjarmasin city, to explore the river life of the locals, check-out of the Hotel, and transfer for about 5 hours to Palangkaraya, passing villages and stretched wetlands, lunch en route, check in at hotel, for dinner and overnight, free at own leisure.
Day 05: PALANGKARAYA, MUSEUM, KORAN RIVER, DAYAK CULTURE (BLD)
Breakfast at hotel, by car to visit Museum Balanga, to explore about the history of the Dayak tribe, from pregnancy ritual, married rituals until the Tiwah death rituals. We will get knowledge of their philosophy of community life in the longhouses. Afterwards we drive to the harbor of the Koran River to sail by boat the black water river of the peatland rainforest at the bordering Sabangau National park of Palangkaraya, we can do a short trek in the jungle in search for wildlife as birds, proboscis monkeys and if lucky we spot a wild orangutan. Lunch at the camp site, late afternoon we return downstream Koran River and drive back via Bukit Rawi where we can visit a Sandi Dayak Grave house, dinner enroute and transfer to Palangkaraya hotel for overnight.
Day 06: PALANGKARAYA, TANGKILING HILL, ORANGUTAN ISLANDS, MALAHOI (BLD)
After breakfast transfer for about 30 minutes to Tangkiling hill for a nice view over the wetlands which surrounding Palangkaraya, then we take a canoe to the Rungan River to visit the Orangutan islands where we can spot them from the boat at the riverbanks, afterwards we continue to by car to Malahoi Long house (build at 1867 – more than 100 year) for about 3-4 hour. lunch en-route at restaurant.. Malahoi village is unique as the local Dayak still have a strong belief in the old mystic Kaharingan which is a mix of Hinduism and Animism. Dinner at longhouse, in the evening we enjoy a Manasai dance performance as a welcome for the guests, overnight at Longhouse.
Day 07: MALAHOI, PANGGU ALAS (BLD)
After breakfast, exploring the village life of the locals before we take the car for about 3 hours to Jahanjang, where we catch a boat to Panggu Alas camp site, for about one hour into Sebangau Park, if lucky we can spot many birds, crocodiles at the river bank and orangutans in the tree tops, Lunch en route at local restaurant. In the evening we enjoy the sounds of the forest from our eco-lodge (build by the WWF) while having a simple forest dinner.
Day 08: PANGGU ALAS SEBANGAU JUNGLE TREK (BLD)
Early breakfast when the forest wake up, we can hear the birds singing and the gibbons shouting, before we trek the jungle of Sebangau park, some may we have to do by boat (upon weather conditions) as it is a peat swamp forest to search wild orangutans and other animals, lunch box res After breakfast. Early morning going tracking to the jungle till day. If we’re lucky we will see wild orang utan. Walking in the forest need good condition coz swimpy forest. Lunchbox during our trek, late afternoon we return to the eco lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 09: PANGGAU ALAS, KERIUNG JAHANJANG (BLD)
After breakfast at the jungle eco-lodge, we can do another short forest trek in the morning before we leave by boat to Keruing Village, explore the village and local people activity, and lunch with the local people. Before we continue by boat to Jahanjang village for overnight at guesthouse with rise field view. Dinner at simple restaurant or with the local community.
Day 10: JAHANJANG, SAMPIT (BLD)
After breakfast, we can enjoy bird watching, and proboscis monkey near the guest house, before car transfer to Sampit on the way we will stop and enjoy the wind breath at Ujung Pandaran beach. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant, overnight at hotel Sampit. Evening possibility to explore sampit by boat over the Mentaya River.
Day 11: SAMPIT, PANGKALANBUN, TANJUNG PUTING (BLD)
After breakfast at hotel transfer of about 4 hours by car to Pangkalanbun Kumai harbor to board the Klotok boat cruising up Sekonyer River. Along the river you can enjoy the beautiful rainforest flora & fauna, which are filled with wildlife until the brim, like birds, monkeys, gibbons, and other wonderful creatures of Borneo.
Day 12: PONDOK TANGGUI, CAMP LEAKY (BLD)
Wake up with the sounds of the awaking rainforest, having your breakfast with the Incredible experience in the jungle of Kalimantan, before we will visit Pondok Tanggui, an Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre up Sekonyer River, then proceed to Camp Leakey, research and rehabilitation centre of the Orangutan. Trekking through the tropical forest and explore the wildlife animals, afterwards return to Klotok Boat for dinner and overnight.
Day 13: PELASAT, TANJUNG HARAPAN (BLD)
Enjoy your Breakfast, and watch the wildlife along the river bank forest, while the klotok boat cruise to Pelasat Forest Replantation side, as a local Conservation and Education area of Tanjung Puting National Park, continue to Tanjung Harapan for sightseeing at the traditional local village of Kalimantan, trekking the jungle over the trails being the wildlife adventure as Borneo heritage. Day 14: TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK, PANGKALANBUN (B--)
Breakfast on board while the klotok boat cruise downstream the Sekonyer River to Pangkalanbun harbor, from where we transfer to the airport where you can find your onward flight to your next holiday destination
